The information about engine model, serial number, etc is on a small aluminum plate located usually on the mounting bracket or the swivel bracket of the outboard.

There are many reasons why outboard engines overheat. Most common cause for overheating is the salt build-up inside the engine block and head. Other causes include but are not limited to: - Thermostat failure
- Running in shallow waters
- Water pump failure
- Incorrect (low oil) fuel/oil ratio (two strokes)
Overheating is a very serious problem which can cause serious (and very expensive) damage to your engine. If overheating occurs consult your engine owner's manual and follow the procedure. If the problem persist contact your dealer/repairer or try us.
